A young person came to me today.
Said they heard I was a Christian, and wanted to talk to someone "safely" about Christianity.
They said they are the "leader of a Christian Youth Group," but "they don't really believe Christ is the Son of God," and "they don't want to change like the people who do change."
They say, "I believe all the same things Christ teaches, so what difference does it make?"
I told him living a lie is always wrong.
He said, "The leaders know I'm not a Christian. I teach forgiveness, just like Jesus did. What difference does the rest make?"
When explaining the difference he said, "Now you're just preaching like the other Christians do."
I don't know what church he is part of. He won't tell me.
It just breaks my heart though.
I want to cry

I'm confused. Is the youth group not Christian or just the leader?
Either way, it's sad. Knowing Christ's teachings is not the same as knowing Christ, and often the two are confused. :( -
I'm a little confused to, but it sounds like the leader isn't a Christian?
That really is sad! :( Maybe he is being convicted though and trying not to surrender?
It's terrible that a church would let an unbeliever lead their youth or anything else.
At least you told him the Truth, hopefully he will come to Christ soon.
