The way I see it, if you ain't legal, you have no rights. At least not as a citizen would.
Call me heartless, but any who are here illegally, meaning that they did not come through the channels laid out in the laws of the United States, have absolutley NO RIGHT to be here or to remain here. Period, end of story.
While I wholeheartedly agree with deportation, I think that the ones being deported should have to earn the money to pay for it. There are lots of roadsides that need picked up, lots of federally owned property that needs maintaining. Once they have built up what it will cost, ship 'em out.
I am also a supporter of putting a fence between the US and Mexico. My version would be two fences, though... both 30+ feet tall, 20+ feet wide, with at least one hundred yards between them. Put border agents atop the inside wall, arm them, and tell them if it moves... well, I wouldn't go with the last part unless they were under threat or someone wouldn't stop.
We've pansied around and catered to the lawbreakers for far too long. -

In speaking of political theorists to fail to realize that a country is both its people and the land on which they live may be a result of much learning and over thinking. -
What portion of the Constitution sees it differently? -

So do you think it is a legitimate line of reasoning to seperate the people from the country in light of the words common use and understanding through out its history. -
2. Interpreting "country" in the sense of "state" is the only way your previous statements about granting rights make sense. The "land" does not grant rights or make public policy decisions. -

Regardless, it's very relevant indeed, in the case of children being born in America to illegal immigrants. -
There is no reason to answer a question in this thread in any other context other than ilegal immigration sionce that is the topic of this thread. -
Mr
Here are some BUMS described in the Bible.
Mar 6:7 And he called [unto him] the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Mar 6:8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for [their] journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in [their] purse:
Mar 6:9 But [be] shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
Mar 6:10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.
Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
Mar 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
