I'm writing one because I don't have one for my web duties. They have just kind of evolved. I don't even have a title. I've called myself any and everything from Web Contact to Web Administrator. At times I've been hesitant to do some things because I don't know what I should be doing. (ok, I might have hesitated, but that didn't generally stop me!)
So, I've started a job description based on the things I am doing or think I should be doing.
Additions? Tweaking?

I would go with thingamabob for sure. :)
-
You are way toooo helpful Pastor :tongue3:
-
No problem Bitsy. I am always happy to help :)
You have always appeared to me to be a thingamabob. So that title should work out just great.
Other than that I think what you have looks great. I am sure it will be enough to keep you busy. -
Well, I do get a whole 45 minutes a day to do this job, so busy is never an issue :D
I'm also trying to show the powers that be all I do and what it could be. -

Possible job Titles
Office Goddess?
Media Magnificance?
Website Wonder Woman?
Internet Indispensable? -
I am like you Bitsy, I do so many different things, all technical but varied. Most of the guys I work with have certifications at the end of their names but I don't.
A lot of the guys will sign their email with things like:
John Doe CCNA
Or John Doe, MCSE
So I thought, I should sign my name at the end of emails:
Dale Cosby, MISC
:-D -
BTW, this week I have the following to do, among other things, I ran cable lines for a T1 this morning. I have a video project to work on this evenening (I am editing a traning video for a phone tutorial) and I will be on a man lift on Friday at the state fair to keep up the wireless system for their security cameras.
Oh, and yesterday I took the day off to hang dry wall at my dads place. :)
I gave up on job descriptions! -
Thank you Rob. I think I'll go with the office goddess -- has a nice ring to it and if I add the MISC after it that Dale is so wisely using, I'll really look official.
I did actually finish that job description mainly because I want someone (like the boss) besides me to have a clue about all that this little part of my job entails. Surely someone will take a deep breath and say oh my! I can't believe she does all that toooooo :tongue3: -
Bitsy Griffin, office goddess MISC
555 555 3534
bgriffin@cbdscougars.com
There you go...you can copy that into your sig field in your email program!
I apologize if that is your REAL telephone number ;-)
You must live around a lot of movie stars if you have a 555 area code though :) -
I also hope that is not a real email address...just realized that you could get spam from web crawlers :(

Hey Sis,
You could just put down "My name is URL" :tongue3: -
Ha!
If the IT guy doesn't figure out how to get me back on the server to set up new pages for the new teachers, my name will probably be something else *grrrrr*
