Secret Walmart Survey Shows Inflation Already Here

EXCERPT
On November 3, the Fed announced its much-anticipated purchase of $600 billion in Treasury securities. An effort to keep market rates low since the central bank’s benchmark rate is already at zero. The Federal Open Market Committee’s statement said, “Currently, the unemployment rate is elevated, and measures of underlying inflation are somewhat low, relative to levels that the Committee judges to be consistent, over the longer run, with its dual mandate.”
But since that statement, interest rates have actually gone up, backfiring on a Fed chief who wants his quantitative easing to spark inflation of 2 percent annually. A moderate amount of inflation would be considered good for the economy. The problem is that inflation is already running well above a healthy level, investors said, Bernanke is just not looking in the right place, like a Walmart.

I knew grocery prices were going up as well as the hospital and my doctor and dentist. However yesterday I went down to look for a sofa, I thought they were giving me the price to buy the store, but no, it was just the sofa. -
Does anyone not know that inflation is real and here? Anyone who shops should know this without any survey.

This isn't related to the Fed decision. Anyone who suggests it is doesn't understand basic economics.
The explosion in food stuff prices is related to poor harvests, lack of resources, and increasing demand. Its been widely reported for a number of months now. As related to other goods the increasing prices has been moving across different sectors for a while now.
Technically, the inflationary trend has been inching prices up since 2000. -
There is no explosion in the price of most consumer goods.
The general increase is caused mostly by the trashing of the dollar in the international market. The Canadian dollar - our biggest trading partner - has been at par or worth more than the US dollar. -
But the Obama administration doesn't have a clue. They are suffering from a total disconnect from reality or terminal ideological stupidity. -

Why is about President Obama?
This is about the inflationary trend that has been consistently building. If anything the current FDA leadership has been noting the severity of looming food shortages. Granted I've got better things to do than track down all your pointless ad hoc negative claims, but I'd be willing to bet there is probably a couple of memos, press releases, and/or statements from departments within the administration about the inflationary trend. -

Ignorance is bliss for an ideological apologist. -

Thankfully, we don't have to hear it from revmitch anymore. Sooner or later, it's going to be you.
