(if the link works) great composition and color. You who long for the good old days . . . this is your vision for America?
Interesting old photos

" this is your vision for America?"
Is that saying there weren't a lot of great things about those days? Just curious. -
Personally, I'm thankful for being born in 1940 and living in the best time and the best place for the working people in the history of the world.

Yep, the 40s were fun. 50s weren't bad till I hit the real world when I joined the Navy and that wasn't all that bad.

A study of the photos will settle the discussion
IMHO---the photos are not MY vision for America----but look at the photos---study the faces and places----think about it----in each of the faces and places there was a vision for America
Its quiet possible that the faces in the photos are sending a message forward that tell each of us today----the best is yet to be!!!
The faces of today need to do the same---we MUST send a face forward that tells the next generation---the best is yet to be!!! Each of the faces in the photos---whether they be white faces or black faces or the faces of Red---gave us what we have today----now its up to us to give tomorrow a better life!!! -

Wow - thanks for that.
Sometimes we forget that life before Vietnam was not in black and white :) -
>No, but it seems to be where Obama and the Tax&Spendocrats are taking us
Yes, but Obama only took over the task from Bush. I suppose it is human nature to blame the last guy in the line. Human memory is short - approx. one pay period. -
Actually, in keeping with the spirit of this thread.. IT's FDR's Fault! Or was it Hoover???
