Depends on what sort of morals. On abortion they tend to be good, on helping the poor not so. A plague on both their houses

Actually, some of the best relef to the poor through out history been by conservative Christians, as we were the ones putting up hospitals, schools, and trying to raise up living conditions by private means, as those ways are MUCH preferred to ole just throw big govt money at it of the Left!

You're trying to take away housing from those who need it, food from the hungry and medical care from the aged and sick. I don't call that moral in a Christian sense.
Inasmuch as YOU have done it to the least of these my brethren you have done it unto Me.

Again, we are NOT taking away from ther poor and needy, but the govt dole is not the best way to have thier needs to be met. and you sound like those who falsely accused Republicans of wanting to throw Granny over the cliff in her wheelchair, as certain ads lied about!

That's a cop-out. I've shown here numerous times that the church simply doesn't have the funds to even provide just healthcare let alone the other needs of the poor. So what you're talking about is what my church defines as benevalency, handing out a couple of hundred $ to people who are willing to grovel to get it.

Er..yes it is...as demonstrated on this side of The Pond since Beveridge
Then don't promote the taking away of government assistance to the most vulnerable members of society then!

    One word: underfunding.

A Conservative government giving tax cuts to the rich funded by welfare cuts to the poor
