Is it hypocritical for.....

    ....a "hymns-only, "piano- and/or organ-only" church to have a person sing "a special" that is not specifically a hymn with an accompaniment track that contains other instruments than a piano and/or organ?

    Only if the church preaches that any other kind of music is sinful.

    If the hymns/piano only is just a preference - than - not hypocrital.

    I have never attended a church that preaches hymns only with Piano/organ,. ACk.

    The answer is, that would be entirely up to the local church concerned.
