The only thing on that list for me is drinking for any reason.

Other things would be smoking, coffee.

There's nothing on that list that I would have a problem with me or anyone doing as long as it is done in moderation.

The drinking and going to a game room where there was drinking is taboo to me.

Although I don't do a lot of things listed, they aren't necessarily taboo for me.
The only things I checked were the ones about alcohol. My ex was an alcoholic and my son and I lived a 22 year nightmare. I have never drank and never will and have a fear of being around anyone who is drinking. I strive to be a roll model for my son, who could have turned out like his father except for my example and council on this.
Many adults may be able to drink in moderation, but young people never do anything like that in moderation.
I tried to teach by example, not the "dont'do as I do, do as I say" teaching of a lot of parents.
I taught my son that he was more of a man if he didn't do drugs than he would be if he did. He may not be perfect but he doesn't take mood altering drugs of any kind.

Being a recovering alcoholic (31 years sober), I had to check social drinking and game room with alcohol as taboo for me; but that said, I couldn't say any of the items are taboo for others, it's not for me to judge.

I gotta know who voted for "Doing anything for pleasure".

The following things are taboo for me:

Smoking cigarettes (yet, for some reason, I don't consider an occaisional visit to a hooka lounge taboo... go figure).

Consuming alcohol at liesure or sporting activities when children are present.

    Driving while sleeping.

    Using a blow dryer underwater.

Shouting out lines from Star Trek during a worship service where people are speaking in tongues.

    Country Music.

Forgetting to wash my hands after using the restroom.

    Low carb doughnuts.

Shouting "I taste mouse" while eating at a restaurant at Disneyland.

I clicked on some easy taboo ones, but I also clicked the other button.....so here goes.
The other for me is "certian" movies, "certian" tv shows,.....ect (including "certian" radio broadcast). I feel you got to keep watch what goes in your mind via your eyes and ears. Lets face it some movies, tv shows and radio broadcast are nothing but nasty filth. But however there are still a few clean ones so I can't say no to all of them. Best thing I have found to determine if I watch or listen to something is ask.... do I want to support what this show is promoting and would Jesus acually want to watch or listen to this? Better yet as far as bars with alcohol ask yourself would Jesus go into that place and do what they are doing?
Does this make any since?

You made some good points, music4Him.

There are some things, like has been mentioned already, that it kind of depends. I don't watch a lot of TV, but some of it is OK. I think it depends on where a person is at in life too. If someone was sorely tempted to watch bad things on TV because they did before they were saved, it would be better for them not to have a TV. I don't think anything that is simply a modern convenience such as cars or refrigeration or phones is wrong...I want to know, if someone was going to check that...what are they doing in an internet forum? No offense to anyone who might have checked that...just wondering.

    patrioticcamerican,
After reading your post and reading the remark about modern convenience...I had to go and check out the poll again. Now I have to say no offence to anyone who checked these but to the 1% and 2 % on these choices............... surly your joking right?

Eating Out 1% (1) (No social eating?)

Owning a television 2% (2) (Yet a computer is almost the same thing as a tv...right?)

Doing anything for pleasure 2% (2) (Really? If thats true...I'm in serious trouble then, cause going to church is a pleasure to me)

About 1/2 of those responding say that none are necessarily taboo. To the other 1/2 that checked at least one box, I would ask why since none of them are necessarily forbidden by Scripture. Note - both Wallygator and Delly provided their rationale (which I appreciate them sharing this and fully understand their position). But for the others.. please tell us why.
