After the credit downgrade yesterday I'm wondering how Obama is taking it? I think he may just be secretly celebrating. He was the one to go into foriegn countries and apologize for America's exceptionalism. Michelle said she was proud of America for the first time when hubby was swaorn in. Did he get what he secretly wanted, an America that looks like European countries. Now that we are not so exceptional maybe it will easier to go Global. On the surface I think he will appear to look worried but not so inside. Just an poinion, what say you?

No for the first time in history we have lost our credit rating. And it was under his watch. They have spent much time bragging about the economy under the watch of the last Dem Pres. So they are going to have to eat this. But you can be sure he is working to deflect blame. He already belly ached to S&P about it. I do not believe he is happy. This will destroy his chances for re-election.

I think the number one concern of any politician is getting re-elected. Having the U.S. credit rating downgraded and millions of voters losing thousands of dollars in their retirement accounts is not a very smart way of getting re-elected. So I don't agree with you that Obama is secretly pleased with it.

I believe he is. He is working his plan and it is working perfectly.

His goal is to drag American lefward into Marxism, and the only real way to do that (says Marx, Engel, Marcuse, et al) is through some form of revolution. We will have the needed revolution when America defaults and the government needs to exercise martial law and suspend the Constitution, and all that happens when the people start crying out for the government to save them (as they already are!).

We have, in the election of Obama, signed America's death warrant, as time will demonstrate.
