Ummm ... the “like” buttons are in the bar under each post.
    • Thumbs up
    • Check
    • Medal
    • “i” with a circle
    • Heart
    • Wrench
    • Praying hands
HOWEVER THERE IS NO SMILE [like this ... :) ] IN THE LIKE BUTTONS.

Thank you but my IQ is only 150, so I am not a “Genius”. :Barefoot
(But I am smart enough to know that only voting for sinless candidates is a silly idea.)

The “up” side of high functioning aspergers.
The “down” side is hyper-literalism, poor non-verbal communication and an aversion to physical contact and excessive sensory input.

Comments after the article cite Communist Chinese influence all over, and via the UN, the WHO, etc., but with others equally culpable.

Here are excerpts from a couple of lengthy ones. The latter two sentences also credit the mentality of "safety-ism" engendered by the nanny state:

"Newson may be a proper little Hitler but I bet our megalomaniacal Premier here in Victoria, Australia would beat him hands down."

"Over here in Britain we have a so called 'conservative government' that has no political axe to grind due to a coming election and yet we are in full blown nanny state hysteria....

"In a broader sense it's the slow death of the grown up, of masculinity and the ability to assess and take calculated risks that are an essential part of life and of growing up."

That aversion to physical contact comes in handy in the Covid crisis.

Back before Covid, I sat near the wall at Church ... so the "huggers" had to get past my daughter and my wife to reach me. ;)

(as an interesting aside I can literally see the flicker in a fluorescent bulb - so God definitely has a sense of humor).

I can see the flicker as well. Are we not supposed to be able to see it?

Theoretically no. The "experts" designed it so the flicker rate was faster than the threshold of most human perception. For those that can see it, it often causes headaches and eye fatigue (our eye is dilating rapidly in sync with the light which is a lot of wasted muscle effort). LED lights have certainly been a blessing for me.

All this time and I never knew. Explains why I hate fluorescent light.
