the OP asked "Is the "Version" issue really that Important? "

Well, if words were bullets, then there would be a lot of dead bodies here, so maybe it is.

I do like what IveyLeager said somewhere in all this mess -- about the discussion leading us to find the chaff in the Modern Versions -- there are some that are not only poor, but detrimental.

    Bible History

I wonder whether the people believing whatever translation or whichever version is OK know the background history of Bible and the underlying texts behind the modern versions and those behind KJV.

One example is the prohibition of the Bible in 1229 by Roman Catholic.

Evidently RC prohibited the spread of Bible throughout the history, and after the publication of KJV they opposed to it vehemently but failed in it.
Then they started to change their strategy so as to contaminate the world of Bible reading people. Discovery of Aleph around 1850's provided the momentum so that those form the revision committee in 1880's, working hard against the Words of God.

Where were the ancestors of the MV's translators when KJV was published and RC criticized it?

As the true believers had to struggle throughout the history, the true Bible will continue to work out until Lord comes as the Word of God is living.

Dear friends believing Whichever Version is OK,

Who is your ancestor ? among Bible Persecutors or Bible Preservers?
