I would have absolutely done the same thing. She was already showing signs of labor, he was given days. Show him his daughter. Have memories for the daughter of her daddy. How tragic for that family!!

Why wouldn't it? Women are induced for all sorts of reasons including scheduling issues. I'd certainly hope "imminent death of the father" would count as an important reason. Heck, if they will induce so that a baby can be born on 11-11-11 and pay for it, they will pay for it.
