After the 1948 War, the West Bank and half of Jerusalem was Jordanian territory. Israel didn't gain control until 1968.

Further, you keep making these tiny statements such as "one people dispossessed" which in fact mischaracterizes the situation due to lack of fact. When you attack other sovereign nations, enter world wars you need to expect that you may lose.
