I am ready for the Braves to win another division championship and win another World Series championship and for Barry Bonds to hit bombs and pass the Babe and move toward Hank Aaron.
-
The older I get the more I like baseball over other sports. Some how the most unathletic players can become great in baseball. Example being John Kruk.
I am ready to see the Astro's again come back and win the wild card amist the doubters saying how bad they are. -
Go Braves!
-
I am ready for Bonds to retire.
-
If it were a beeper ball, I might like to play.

I like the why my Tigs have looked in Spring training. Jim Leyland seems to have given them a new energy and attitutde. Lets hope it carries over into the regular season.
Detroit will have a tough time though. They are in one of the hardest divions in the AL with the White Sox, Indians, and Twins, (KC is a non-factor). Kind of hard to rebuild when 3 decent teams are in your division. -
When we first moved to Atlanta, the Braves were not too hot. We got great season tickets -- about four rows up behind Ted Turner. As they got better, people filled in all around us and we still had great season tickets.
Giving up those tickets was the hardest thing about leaving Atlanta.
In Winston we have the Warthogs. I'm sure we could get some good seats for them too, but . . . -
Jimy Leyland is the best thing to happen to the Tigers in a long time. But I don't see them getting past the White Sox and Indians in the division.
As a Cub fan, I am prepared for another season of injuries and potential that fades. Prior and Wood are already battling injuries. The bright spot will again be Derrick Lee and hopefully Juan Pierre will give them a spark in center and leadoff. -
I don't know about the Cubs. I just read an article that they may be able to come out on top of the NL. Though I am not a Cubs fan, I would not mind seeing them do somthing great this year. Perhaps if they were in the AL I would think differntly. -
GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's try this...Red Sox 4 Cardinals 0.... Royals over the Cardinals in 1985 -
-
St. Louis Cardinals 9 World Series Championships in 16 World Series Appearances. A winning percentage of .562.
Chicago cubbies 2 World Series Championships in 12 World Series Appearances. A winning percentage of .167.
Seems St. Louis is doing a litte better in World Series Championships.
St. Louis's 9 World Series Championships is #2 behind the Yankees.
The cubbies 2 World Series Championships is tied for 13th with 4 other teams.
St. Louis's overall record in World Series play is 48 - 52 with a winning percentage of .477.
The cubbies overall record in World Series play is 19-33-1 with a winning percentag of .358.
St. Louis last World Series apperance was in 2004.
The cubbies last World Series appereance was in 1945.
St. Louis won their last World Series Championship in 1982.
The cubbies won their last World Sereis Championship in 1908.
Seems to me that St. Louis is the more successful team.
GO CARDINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have every right to be wrong Bill!

Barry Bonds is ripping the cover off the ball this Spring. He might not steal bags like he used to and he may not cover much ground in left field but he can still rake with the bat in his hands. I hope the Detroit Tigers have a solid season. I am glad to see Jim Leyland back in a uniform. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to be a Cubs fan when you have two studs like Kerry Wood and Mark Prior who can't stay healthy. I am not a fan of Dusty Baker as a manager, I don't feel he handles the pitching staff well and his teams in Chicago have not played fundamental baseball.

Play Ball!!!!
I've been ready!
Go Phillies!
(Hey, I can dream, can't I?) -
Glad to be around some Atlanta fans. The Braves are gonna win another division championship again this year. I hope Bobby Cox doesn't put in Joey Devine in the end of any more games... I was so depressed last year. "Devine winds and the pitch..Burke hits it deep to left field it's back it's back...THE ASTROS ARE GOING TO THE NLCS.." :(

sigh...it's something like that every year.
