Having worked there it has more to do with reinventing the wheel than supporting homosexuality. They were a company driven on sales, and when they decided to do away with all sales for an "every day price" the company tanked.

Expect more dead malls. JC Penney is an anchor in a lot of malls. JC Penney is going the way of the past. Yes, retail sales are off, but a boycott is in place and that adds to their decline. Good.
