Hubby just told me last night. It's heartbreaking when someone embraces sin and when it's someone who is so well known, the affects are so much more far reaching.

Let's keep her in prayer.

She was huge while I was in college. Honestly, one of the only artists affliated with the CCM industry that I listened to with any regularity. She was just plain good. Her music has a deep texture that most in the ridiculous world of CCM never developed. She is a great song writer and really profound musician.

But this doesn't really surprise anyone who followed her or kept up with her music. It has been an honest, long struggle of hers. I've been to a few concerts where she played and it was obvious she had a struggle in her romantic life. After she went under the radar for the past seven years (I think) she's really lost any momentum and the industry has changed dramatically.

That said I prayed for her when I heard about it and will remember her. It is always sad to see someone choose a path that isn't God's way.

Wish I could say I was surprised....but it always seemed to me that she was leaning in that direction.

She does have a good bit of musical talent. I just wish she'd take it to the secular realm...remaining where she is--well, I look in few weeks/months for the whining to begin, about Christians' "hatred" for the "GLBT community."

Maybe her and Ray Boltz could do some duets...

On a serious note...maybe there will be repentance, and a change in heart/attitudes/actions.
