Yeah, I heard it years ago but forgot it until you mentioned it again. Copeland and that crowd were big on TBN and they were about all that was on. I never did like them from one I first heard about them in 1982 from a Berean bookstore clerk.

Have you ever been confronted with this teaching in person? I haven’t. Just online.

No. Kenneth Hagin was another one of them, wasn't he? I was fortunate enough to be born into a large family of regular believers and was not attracted to heterous doctrines. Some young people were around but very few.

Yes. Hagin, Copeland, Paul Crouch, and Joyce Meyers were in that dubious bunch. They got the part where Jesus was not born ‘Christos’ from Dake’s annotated bible. I don’t know if Dake taught He went to hell, though.

I always thought Hagin was the leader. Paul Crouch was always looking for money and could be very abrasive. As you know, he was disgraced.

Let this sink in ppl...Jesus ceased to be God. How can anyone with 1/2 a brain cell think this is a biblically accurate statement? I am amazed at how blinded ppl are by Satan. I said amazed, not shocked.

If they are teaching that way, they are misunderstanding the Incarnation of Jesus, in the sense he being both fully God and man literal could not sin!

He gave up exercising and using His divine attributes, so was self limited in knowing things while here on earth, but he could never have sinned, as God cannot do that!

Jesus chose to operate while here as we all need to do, but fully relying upon the Holy Spirit and staying in intimate fellowship with the Father, but he still could never have willed Himself to commit sin, as God cannot do that thing!

Some who hold to the kenosis theory on the incarnation indeed have gone so far as to see Him being on earth fully human only, and thus would have been actually able to fall. They seem to be saying that it would not a legit testing of Him if no real possibility to ahve fallen!

I indeed respect them for their views regarding creation and falseness of evolution, but in this one area, they seemed to have strayed...

If He were not capable of sinning, His temptation was not real. One can not be tempted with something they can not do.

Yes, Jesus was really tempted in his humanity, as he experienced it as we do, but with 2 HUGH differences, as he had no sin nature to respond back to want more, and being being God, He would not sin!

Utter foolishness. The Christ was not capable of sinning. What is shown is ppl trying to tear God down and exalt themselves. No way was the Christ capable of sinning. Pure foolishness.

    Pure foolishness.

Jesus actually experienced them far deeper and in a worse way than any of Us, as he was and is Holy, and we being sinners want to respond to sin, but he must have been really feeling it, as the Holy God actually had to taste what temptation to sin is really like!
