No problem, Joseph, here it is:

This is from Virtual Jerusalem, so I cannot be accused of getting quotes from pro-arab sources.

Corinne,
Thank you for the source. I dislike Chirac a little less now. It is interesting though that the reporter introduces this quote with what could only be described as surprise:
Joseph Botwinick -
I suspect Joseph that that reporter shares your disdain for Chirac and was as surprised as you was.
-
Or perhaps, he is pointing out the obvious irregularity of Chirac saying anything about the Godfather of Terror.

Arafat was the sort of guy who never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. There were more than a handfull moments in his career when he could have become the hero of the international community and founder father of a new nation. He screwed it up so often that by the end everybody not a Palestinian had given up on him.
-
The only problem I have with that theory is that I think you give him too much benefit of the doubt. He was the godfather of terror and knew exactly what he was doing when he rejected all attempts at peace and began the current intifada.

A Palestinian state is not viable. Only the Europeans want it because they are majority anti-Semetic since the 1930s.
Corinne, you believe in the ordination of women to the priesthood, don't you? So you are a religious and political leftist, wouldn't you say? I notice that your website has a lot of remarks about how fundamentalists and evangelicals are wrong about this and that and the other thing. So can't we conclude that you are against most of the evangelicals who are posting on this board? -
I am sorry. But, this simply isn't true. I, for one, would like to see it once the terror is stopped and they put in a more moderate government who can live side by side with the Jews. There are also many Israelis who would like to see this as well. The Israeli apologist who wrote an entire book defending the actions of Israel and attacking the unfair accussations against Israel as anti-semitic, Alan Dershowitz, has also been an advocate for a Palestinian State. Many of the Palestinian people have been oppressed by extremists terror groups such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and even by the PLO who horded the money to themselves while their own people lived in squaller. Please do not equate the longing for a Palestinian State to anti-semitism.

About the Christian Resistance, it fights religious and political extremism, and also stipulates that we believe the role of women in religion should be reinforced, so yes I believe women should be priests. If I was in America I would vote democrat and not conservative, not because I condone abortion (I am actually prolife and have even written a draft bill to protect the unborn in a political simulation) or homosexuality, but because I believe the democrats are closer to social issues that need to be solved, and I do not like to see how the Religious Right (together with the NRA) governs the government.
To paraphrase Bush, all those who believe in Jesus Christ are with me, and all those who do not, are not, so no, I am not against those evangelicals on this board who are true believers. I am always open to discussions, even with those who disagree with my views, which are, I grant you, more liberal than conservative.
To enlighten you further, I am more of an arminian than a calvinist, as you might have guessed from the website.
The aim of the website, by the way, is not only to fight extremism (and therefore intolerance), to gather together true believers in Christ who wish to make their resources available to other believers, in the event of future persecutions of christians. A kind of parallel trading space for the future. You can ask me questions about this by emailing me in private at corinnesinclair@yahoo.com

Andorra, Monaco, Liechtenstein, San marino and Iceland also aren't supposed to be viable, hasn't stopped them.

The level of Anti-Semitism in Europe is considerably lower now than it was in the 30's when the most popular Anti-Semitic magazine ever was published in the USA by Henry Ford. -
Let's not forget also that many people thought Reagan was nuts for thinking that democracy could take root and conquer Communism in the Soviet Union. When was the last time we worried about the nuclear threat of the USSR? How about Germany and Japan? Then there was the mountain of skepticism about Afganistan and still is for Iraq. I am more optimistic about the power of freedom to overcome tyranny and terror in the world.

How can a nation based on the Gaza and parts of the Bank be viable? It would depend upon European handouts forever. The Gaza belonged to Egypt at one time and the Bank to Jordan.
Here again England muddied the waters on this issue by now being able to enforce the League of Nations mandate on this issue. There never was a Palestine in the history of the world. There is no reason to have another Arab state.
The Arabs should move to other Arab lands. The Arab League consists of a land mass 2 or 3 times larger than the USA. Those Arabs who own property in Gaza or on the Bank should be paid for their property as they move to re-unite with their Arab brothers in the states from which they came. Arafat's aids-infected body should be moved to Egypt, where he was born and raised.
