Someone told me today that they will not stay with a job who is led by ungodly people. She would consider this being unequally yoked.
Do you agree
Job related yokehood

I voted no. You are only unequally yoked if you marry a non-believer.

Thats what I was thinking yesterday Sue.

I chose other, because it is contingent upon what kind of business they are involved in. If it is ungodly, then I believe you should not work there.

I would think the assumption is that it is a legitimate business, not p*rn or soemthing else equally ungodly. Like a normal business, or manufacturing, office. ON that assumption I voted no. I think otherwise the op would have told us.

"9 ¶ I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner––not even to eat with such a person."

No, it isn't. Otherwise there would be very few jobs for Christians. Being unequally yoked refers to relationships, and I never had a relationship with someone for whom I worked.

I voted no... I agree with David Lamb that the context seems defined in 1 Cor 5:
11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner––not even to eat with such a person."
The key to it is anyone NAMED A BROTHER who clearly has not forsaken the world to follow Christ. Such is a danger to your walk and is similar to a wolf in sheep's clothing and a type of anti-christ.
Lk 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? -
no vote for me as well.
One could make the argument that a partnership (particularly a close working one, as opposed to the "silent partner" arrangement) could fall in this category.
Otherwise, nope. We begin to fall into the error of sequestering ourselves from the world until we reach the point that we cannot evangelize' because we don't really know any lost folk. -

I vote, no.

I heard a saying about people who are "Too heavenly minded to be of any earthly good." We can become SO disconnected from the world and think that we are too good to associate with "sinners" that we are of no good as a witness. Jesus ate with sinners and was criticized for it. The difference is that He usually brought them to a saving knowledge of Himself. We should not be close intimate friends with non-believers without giving them the gospel. If they reject it, we are not to continue in that close friendship. Otherwise, they can bring us down. If we can't influence them, they will influence us. Someone is going to be influenced in that relationship, and it should be them wanting what we have. Do they see Jesus in us, or do they just see a reflection of themselves? Do they even know we are a Christian?
