What a bunch of hooey contrived by the U.S. government and its allies.
"Clearly, he is responsible for an avalanche of political leaks. Whether he is also guilty of sexual offences remains to be seen.
But the more one learns about the case, the more one feels that, unlike the bell in Enkoping, the allegations simply don’t ring true."

Julian Assange: "the allegations simply don’t ring true"

Too bad he's not an American citizen or we could try and hang him for treason as we are the fella that gave him the info in the beginning.
Lacking that option, why bother setting him up on rape charges in Switzerland when a CIA sniper bullet would be cleaner and cheaper? -
-
WikiLeaks - Mirrors
Bravo! :applause: They will have a hard time ever shutting them all down. Sunshine is a wonderful disinfectant.

The first *real* chance for the US Cyber Command to do something constructive...
And, they've once again failed miserably!
Ken: I'll agree that sunshine is a great disinfectant when you agree to release the history of every web site you've ever visited, every phone conversation you've ever made and every e-mail you've ever sent...
And, you can't have a chance to explain the circumstances or background of any of them...
All, I have openly wondered why there was a kill or capture on this lowlife. But, if the US Cyber Command can't shut down all the mirrors then obviously his bluff is working.
He's going to spit all the secrets out anyway... Why, let him enjoy it? Go ahead and give the Kill or Capture order! -
SMM,
I am not a government official accountable to the people.
How can we have government of, by, and for the people if government officials operate in secrecy?
I believe the people have a right to know what government officials are doing and saying on their behalf. I will not stand with Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, et al, on this issue. -
If Lincoln "freed the slaves" then this fellow has earned honors for freeing the suckers who trust their government.
-
-
There is a limit to how much Sunshine we can stand.
I agree that anything we do in an official capacity should be subject to scrutiny.
However, some secrets, especially during ops and negotiations need to stay secret for as long as the op or relationship is underway or a revelation of our methods is at risk.
According to you guys our latest Nuke research, Sub Silencing and all other superiority technology should be posted too.
If you want to live in a subjugated third world country leave now! Don't take the rest of us with you! -
2) What information has Wikileaks released to the people that is at that level? -
-
-
Having said that...
I have been informed that simply because something is on Wikileaks it does **NOT** automatically become declassified.
Further, intentionally viewing Classified information for which I do not have a demonstratable "Need To Know" or Clearance to see could result in my being charged, disciplined and probably fired.
So, no, I can't say at what level the documents Wikileaks are at...
And, honestly, it's decidedly not worth my job to find out.
All I can say is that my employer is taking the leaks exceedingly serious.
Period... -
If the kind of information you referred to, SMM, had been released I feel certain that the Obama administration and its supporters on this issue would have made a big deal about it.

You aren't accountable to the people? Well, I guess you are right about that. However, if you think this is about accountability you are dead wrong. Look, I want transparency and accountability, I really do. However, I want it to be done for that reason and that reason alone. This wikileaks junk is not about exposing corruption, holding government officials accountable, or journalism. It is about power. These people are enjoying holding the world hostage. Look at what they are leaking. They are putting the lives of people in danger and don't care. It's a game to them. They are having fun. Now hackers are joining in and they are having a great time giving people like Mastercard and Amazon fits.
You may not be an accountable government official, but if someone posted information about you that you'd rather keep secret just for the fun of it I'd bet you would be mad. Hypocrite. We can have accountability without justifying the actions of a bunch of lowlife scum and without putting the lives of brave soldiers, loyal allies, and innocent people in danger. If people die as a result of this information that has been released, the blood is on their hands. What's more, you, a Christian, have justified them. -

Assange has stated that he is looking to publish info on Russia and China next. If that is true, he will not have to wory about prosecution. Those countries play with the kid gloves pulled off. Regardless of one's stance on the issue, one good scoop on Russia and noone will hear from this guy again.

To them the more damage the better... -
What we can't do we let others do for us? -
>According to you guys our latest Nuke research, Sub Silencing and all other superiority technology should be posted too.
Technology should be protected. The USSR got a copy of every patent filed right from the Patent Office. Probably Russia still does. Bell Labs never bothered to patent the transistor. If they had AT&T never would have fell apart.
