To me, this is a ridiculous argument. The Democrats are doing a good enough job in wrecking the economy without the help of Republicans.

Also, it seems to me that the spending cuts the Republicans want to make would give confidence to investors in our economy, which would lift the economy. Obama's idea of fixing the economy is spending an additional $440 Billion on a jobs bill, in effect, another round of stimulus money. This strategy has already failed. "If you find yourself deep in a hole, stop digging." -
If Congress has no power to control the economy then why do we care which party is in power? WE should elect on the basis of morals and ethics, not economic theory.

The results (margin of winning/losing) of a presidential election historically is directly proportional to the unemployment rate. -
Once the GOP nominee is chosen the presidential campaign dogs of war will be released upon the progressive sector of the Democratic Party.
The Obama administration has supplied the GOP with PLENTY of ammunition.
Unless of course they (GOP) really don't want to win the presidency.

The republicans have been doing all they can to wreck the economy since January 2009. It's their way of getting another republican in the White House in 2012.

"Wherever there is self ambition, there you will find envy, strife and all sorts of evil."
It would not be suprising if either Democrats or Republicans stooped to that level to make the other look bad. -
Would you say all, most, some of the "R's" are responsible - or is mainy the Tea Party "R's" -

You know that both parties are interested in only one thing and it isn't governing, it's getting reelected. They will say anything to anyone, promise anything they have to in order to get the votes needed to be in power. When they are elected and don't fulfill their promises, they blame the other party. If you don't understand this you are sorely misinformed.
I guess I will play one or two rounds round with you. I remember when Obama was elected hearing the republican leaders in Congress along with the real republican head, Rush Limbaugh, say that no matter what was proposed they would be against it, period. This gridlock was an effort to stall any economic progress in order to get back in the White House.
There has been much lately about Obama and the democrats allowing illegals to come across the border to get more votes. I imagine this is true; however, we quickly forget the amnesty that Reagan pushed through. I know, all the conservatives will say they were against this, and rightfully so. I wonder though how many of these conservatives would have supported a third term by Reagan if the law allowed it. -
With that kind of belief, I have virtually no respect for her.
(and yes, I believe the same way if it were a conservative talking about a liberal politician)
Libs such as Stephanie Miller can ony say it is a way to keep poor people (Democatas) from voting.
-
I don't know who Stephanie Miller is, and I've certainly never heard her speak, but I believe all voters should have a valid photo ID. I wish every election center as well as every business establishment required such an ID. If they had, perhaps the person who got their hands on my debit card a few months ago would not have been able to cause me so much grief.
As far as amnesty is concerned, I've been told the democrats want easy votes and the republicans want cheap labor. I don't know if either are true, but I wouldn't doubt it. -
Again you lie about what the bible says.
Thank you Bro. Curtis for using a gentle spirit and in love, attempting to correct. Your outbursts are most refreshing and show the true charity of your heart. God bless you. -

James 3:16
" 16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there."
plain_n_simple: "Wherever there is self ambition, there you will find envy, strife and all sorts of evil."
A general quote I admit, maybe not exactly the scripture. The point being that politicians are willing to do most anything evil to advance. That has been proven time and again. Sir there is no need to be aggressive, I'm a member of the Body just like you are. I love you. Is there something we can do to help your anger and accusations to people on this board? -

No, the original word is "selfish". Where there is "selfish" ambition....
The way you have worded it, you can now pummel anyone who seems to have his own financial benefit as a goal. That is not what the verse says.
The man who was given 5 talents, and returned 10 had self-ambition. The man who hid his talent was called "evil". -
This economy wrecking project is a two front attack by both parties. Both are equally responsible. Both parties are either totally irresponsible or corrupt and some in each party is both.
