Some time ago I had an e-mail conversation with a friend, a former co-worker who is adept at needlework and I half-dare her to knit me something with a verse from the Vulgate.
I had all but forgotten about the exchange (which started with a discussion of the LOL Bible and the Cotton Patch Bible) when she presented me with a pair of hand-knitted gloves with a verse from the Vulgate inside (half on the left glove, half on the right.)
Now, there aren't all that many people I can show them off to here, so I'm attaching a photo:

My little bar at the bottom of the computer screen says DONE and I don't see the pix.
Did I miss it? -
Want to borrow my glasses? I could see the red x, bright and clear. You might call it hidden text.
Cheers,

Maybe the link will work.
Bifocals are in the near future; when I was cooking today I mistook the 1/3 cup for the 1/4 cup ... -

The link worked for me! They are lovely!

et non poterant resistere sapientiae et Spiritui quo loquebatur
But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
Acts 6:10 NRSV
Nice gloves! I'd probably loose one and keep the other that says, "could not stand wisdom..."
