A pro-family advocate is outraged that a California public school teacher would pass out homosexual pledge cards to her kindergarten students.

pro homosexual pledge cardThe pledge cards were produced by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, and featured oaths that students would not use "anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender language or slurs," that students would intervene on behalf of homosexual students when possible, and that they would actively support safer schools efforts.

What will happen when they start sex education in kindergarten and teach those kids about homosexuality and how to be homosexual.

If you're talking about Obama proposal, he said "age appropriate" education which means explaining what to do when your uncle or brother touches you in a wrong way etc... That kind of stuff...

It's a bad time for Christians with school aged children, who can't afford an alternative....

LB, why are you so sexist in your answer? you should have said uncle / aunt or brother / sister...

Now, if that is all the sex ed for Kindergarten, that is excellent information. But thats not what this article mentions:

I don't see anything in the article saying he wants to tech kindergärtners explicit information in this area.

I didn't say I agreed with this, I was just explaining his position.

Where I am, it is common to see a 12 or 13 year old having a baby. They are active before that. If we don't teach them accurately, they will learn on the playground or on the streets. I taught my daughter about the birds and bee's when she was young so I was sure she knew the facts. I agree, it was my choice as her parent and not something they taught her in school.

I would also hope they get some kind of permission form signed before proceeding. You may also want to invite the parents to sit in on the class.

Not everyone can do this. I was a single mother when I was saved and there was no way for me to do this.

I grew up at a time when homosexuals were still "in the closet" where they belong. They need to go back in there. I hope normal people will protest that outrage very loudly.

Parents won't be told about it beforehand or given the opportunity to opt out of it.

Children should be getting their sex education from their parents (I never did). Unfortunately, too many parents are more than willing to let the schools do it. When they find (if they find out) that their children are being taught things contrary to their beliefs, it's too late.

It's a bad time for homeschoolers too. It's a bad time for everyone. With a Marxist president elect, a Democrat congress and future court appointments, our rights will be taken away.
