We could have a lot of fun with the peculiar and seemingly unBaptistic names of some of the churches. Here in DC there is one called St. Judah Spiritual Baptist Church. There is also a St. Charles Baptist Church ... and no, we do not have a St. Charles AVENUE as they do in New Orleans. Are these folks Catholic or Baptist?
One that was not far from the church I used to pastor was called St. Mary Baptist Church.
But if you are interested in churches named for Kings instead of Saints, in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, there is the (Anglican) Church of King Charles the Martyr. -

Good for them, at least people know what kind of doctrine they will be getting when they walk through the door.

I'm with Tim. At least they're upfront about it. And I gotta admit...I'd probably attend there before attending "Living Bible Baptist Church" or "The Message Baptist Church." -

In San Francisco is a Church called St Paul of the Shipwreck. I just think that's an interesting name...

King James, the man, was not a very amicable individual. While it was under his rule that the counsel to translate the Bible, into the kings tongue was convened, to have a church named for his honor is, in my mind, disgraceful. I am a KJV believer in the job that the counsel did, but I am also a student of history.

I wonder how they vote in members, if they put a KJVO restriction on their membership. -

I live here in the South. North-West Florida. More and more new Baptist Churches are omitting the Baptist from the name of the Church.
I am a newborn to the Baptist denomination but my feeling are if your a baptist Church put the word baptist in it. Guess I'm old fashioned. -

The church I am a member of in the States has an unusual name:
Broadneck Baptist Church.
Why Broadneck? Because we are on the Broadneck Peninsula. -
We also have a Broadview Baptist Church. Now, no theological slamming please.
