Lady Bird Johnson has died. Many people will remember her for her many contributions to Texas (and the country), such as the Texas highway beautification plan. Quite a few tourists come each year at Springtime just to see the myriad of wildflowers along the majority of Texas highways. She will be missed.

She definitely made our state (Texas) a more beautiful place to live. Each spring in April when I see the first bluebonnets in bloom along our highways and byways I always get teary eyed. Spring wouldn't be spring in Texas without our bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, Wine Cups, etc.

    Thank you bunches Lady Bird!

    Sadness. An era has gone.

94, eh? Not a bad innings, as we say over here.
