Kate,
Lust?
Lust is mental. "Wow"-ness is an involentary affect a woman has on a ordinary man - it is simply a feeling, a warm glow. Lust is connected to actual "thoughts" - there is a very big difference.
Is homosexuality a banned topic?
Could someone explain to me what happened to my topic?

Must you, Netcurtains?
I requested that it be removed. It was inappropriate. -
Hi,
OK - no problem. I just wanted to point out the involuntary nature of some aspects of homosexuality by comparing it to ordinary men.
From the "Poll" results on the other board I suspect a significant percentage of Baptist people think homosexual men are simply ordinary men sinning. It is my current understanding that this is not the case.
No problem.

According to God's word, there is nothing ordinary about homosexuality. It's not called sin, but an abomination. -
One thing about lust. Noticing that a person is attractive is not lust. Thinking that you'd like to engage in a sexual manner with that person is.
Otherwise, every woman on this board who's said that Pierce Brosnan or Patrick Stewart are hotties are all committing lustful acts. They're not. They're making the rest of us guys jealous, but they're not lusting. ;) -

God didn't destroy Sodom for fornication, or any other sin. He didn't destroy Sodom because people were gluttons, or liars, or theives, or prideful boasters, or because they lusted after each other's wives.
It's quite clear to me that God hates homosexuality over other forms of disobediance. -
When Jesus was speaking of that Great and Terrible day, he was speaking of the day he created Woman.
-
Earlier I said "wow-ness", I hope I didn't give the impression that men are only attracted to "pretty" girls.
Look up the word "pheromones". -
BRO Curtis, you seem to be extremely hateful towards homosexuals from the way that you are posting. The scripture is very clear, Fornicators, adulterers, and homosexuals are all abominations to God. Can you show me where the Bible says that God hates any of those three more than the other? Most Christians are too quick to pounce on the one homosexual and let the two fornicators go free. Sin is sin is sin is sin! That's all there is to it!

Please don't add to my posts. Nowhere did I say I hate homosexuals.
And yes, I think that homosexuals can be forgiven, just like other sinners. Just like I was.
But it seems that one particular sin got two cities wiped off the face of the earth, with zero left. -
Nowhere did I say that you hate homosexuals. Please don't add to my posts. God made the punishment for any of those sexual sins death. Didn't matter which sin, it was death for the punishment. You can't prove from the Bible that Homosexuality is hated any more than adultery or fornication. That is only your opinion.
-
Curtis: It is very faulty thinking that Homosexuality was the only crime of Sodom and Gomorrah. It was not. There was adultery and murder and other sins involved. Study about these things please before making such statements. Yes, Genesis mentions this sin but historically speaking Sodom and Gomorrah had more wickedness going on then just this.
Personally to my thinking married women don't need to be saying any guy is handsome besides her own and no married man needs to be saying any other woman is beautiful but his own. -

I cannot tell you who they are, but I can tell you
who Jimmy Stewart was. Now, he was my
heart-throb. Looks? Hm-m, they were pretty
good, but I liked his sweet, genteel ways and the
fact that he stayed with one woman all those years
in spite of Holllywood. -
Now, let me start again! I agree with you when it comes to "JIMMY STEWART." My mother thinks there is nothing like him, as a real gentleman and his movie, "It's a wonderful Life."
I agree that any of the ones, in Hollywood, that stay with one wife are to be commended.
Still laughing over my first post.

I always find it funny when in a discusion with non-believers when they try to trip me up by asking me if I think that homosexuality is a sin. They think that they can manipulate me, and find something to twist out of context. I always respond that I believe that the act of homosexuality is just as much a sin as premarital heterosexual sexual activity. Both are sins, and as we see in Scripture no one sin is greater than another. One sin will send a man to hell just as fast as a man with a million sins.

Jimmy Swaggart? roflol. Now you got me laughing. That one really hurts!!! :D
Definitely if you let the thought of lust remain in your mind, you will be soon acting on it.
But how to deal with the head turners?????? :D Like Mel Gibson. -
