I can remember my grandparents telling me stories about the 1932 tornado in Tuscaloosa. They talked about how the tornado literally pulled water out of the Black Warrior River, after passing through the Tuscaloosa Country Club area into Northport. The worst tornado ever in Tuscaloosa County. Classified as an F4.
