Wow, Jailminister! You certainly have me beat. I wonder if anyone on this board can exceed your score?
Congratulations. -
I don't understand why a person would fill this out. My maturity score is between me and God, and anything that I post would be seen as bragging or being boastful about what I do. On the contrary, anything that is good concerning my walk with God is because of what He has done and is doing in my life. Scoring a 10 must mean that a person cannot grow anymore than where he or she already is, and I cannot believe that any human would literally be at a 10 on any of these. Even the most mature Christian can still grow.
I also take exception with the "associating with ungodly people." I do that a lot, in hopes of winning them to Christ. Personally, that, to me, is more of a sign of maturity than staying away.
Number 10 is also a strange request - shouldn't this be "always sensitive to the needs of others?" -
Oh how fun...another quiz.

That was fun. -
Scott, Lighten up, ok. I saw this post at another site and thought that it was a good thought provoker. I tried to answer honestly. The ones I answered 10 to were easy. In fact I got passed those years ago. God has shown me much and is still showing me things. You don't have to answer them if you don't want to. It was just something to make us think.

I think we all know that it doesn't really matter in the real sense of how God sees us. It's just a fun quiz. No biggy.

-
That is true Ken H and that was my point. However many believers don't do them. It all has to do with maturity.
Like I said this is just thought provoking, ok. -
I appreciate the thought provoking nature of the questions as we should all examine ourselves. But just maybe we shouldn't post our answers in public.
-
Jail Minister...if you had posted this in the All other discussions or the polls forum I doubt anyone would have thought it a big deal.
-
Sometimes the motives for these can be to brag about what areas in our lives we think we have "arrived" at.
While I do not think that is Jail Minister's intention, I do think some of his "categories" are "loaded" so to speak.
Its kind of like asking someone "when did you stop beating your wife?"
Well just for fun I will respond to the categories and "unload" those that I think need "unloading".

Like I said, I got this off another web site and thought it was thought provoking and wantd to share it with the board. No big deal, REALLY. I promise.

Self analysis is quite scriptural. Posting it, quite immature.

I'm probably gonna get "blistered" for this one but here goes.
I was preaching a series through the Sermon on the Mount and came to the text where Jesus was dealing with judging people who have "splinters" in their eyes--He said something to the affect--"And why do you try to get the splinter out of your neighbor's eye while all along there is a beam in yours?
Now, we have folks who I call "speck" hunters! Going around "sizeing" other preachers up and stuff.
And I told the folks listening--we'll always have "speck" hunters looking for the microscopic things in our lives---but here's what we need to be doing---
we need to be living so much like the Lord Jesus Christ--in our minds, in our speech, in our conduct, in our actions--we ought to be so exemplifiying the blessed Lord Jesus Christ in our daily lives--it would be where when folks come to us "huntin' specks" in our lives----oooooooooohhhhhhhh, their dogs are gonna havta be "huntin' HAAAAAAAAAARD!!!!!"
The thing is---if I come huntin' a speck in your life---how hard am I gonna havta hunt??? Am I gonna get a few shots off--or will I get to go home empty handed---no "specks" in the bag!!??

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. -
I don't know where Massdak nor JailMinister are headed with this--but I believe it was ole Absalom who got to "struttin' around" and got hung by his own hair--those oak limbs hangin' on tight!!
The word teaches us in Romans 12; 3, " For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."
Don't strut too high up on the saddle--or that mule will leave you hangin' and danglin' just like it did ole Ab!! Then Joab is gonna come and shoot a dart in your heart!
Your buddy,
Blackbird -
And speaking of "specks"---for all the ten's you give me---I'll guarantee I'll find a "speck"--I get to huntin' hard enough---better to be out in the open with all humility!!!
All I have to do is hold your ten up to the word! Your "ten" will "bend" under the perfection of the word!!
Blackbird
