The networks are now calling the Florida race for John McCain.

It is pretty clear that McCain has the momentum heading into Super Duper Tuesday next week. Barring a major setback it looks like he will be the 2008 GOP presidential nominee.

Rush Limbaugh will not be happy about this.

Excellent! The GOP actually has a chance now in the general election. Romney would have been the worst possible scenario for the GOP.

It looks like conservative evangelicals will be in quite a fix for November. McCain will not push the social issues. I expect that they will sit on their hands in November, especially if Obama wins the Democratic Party nomination. In that case they won't have their hatred of Hillary Clinton to motivate them.

And no one should rule out Obama doing very well on Super Duper Tuesday next week. Clinton won the non-delegate primary in Florida today; however, among those who didn't make up their mind until after last Saturday's South Carolina primary they were tied.

Nah, Rush Limbaugh is neutral during the primaries. He said so, and what he says is more important than what he does.

Regards, Ken - headed your way soon,

One thing we know for sure: With McCain at the head of the GOP, the party of Ronald Reagan does not exist.
