Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell released a statement saying "there are no good neo-nazis" on Wednesday a day after President Donald Trump's held a wild press conference during which he said some of the ralliers who stood alongside white nationalists at this weekend's Charlottesville, Virginia protests were "very fine people."

McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, released the statement to condemn "hate groups" and respond to reports of a similar planned rally to oppose the removal of Confederate monuments in Lexington, Kentucky.

"The white supremacist, KKK, and neo-nazi groups who brought hatred and violence to Charlottesville are now planning a rally in Lexington," McConnell said in the statement. "Their messages of hate and bigotry are not welcome in Kentucky and should not be welcome anywhere in America."

The statement continued: "We can have no tolerance for an ideology of racial hatred. There are no good neo-nazis, and those who espouse their views are not supporters of American ideals and freedoms. We all have a responsibility to stand against hate and violence, wherever it raises its evil head."

    You ask intellectually dishonest questions.
I disagree with MOST, but not all their goals.

But it looks like Mr. McConnell has tolerance for the leftist and racist violent groups that exist. The man ought to be ashamed of himself for the terribble job he is doing as the majority leader.

Just about every prominent and not so prominent GOP elected official, former GOP elected officials, and conservative spokespeople have condemned the neo-Nazis and the white supremacists. Pretty obvious this isn't their party anymore. Trump owns it and will ruin it. Some people warned about this happening in the months leading up to the election.

Trump was never a Republican. If anyone is ruining the Republican Party it is the Republican establishment who has forsaken their conservative values and constitutional principles. At this point the Republicans and the Democrats are basically one and the same.

Do you agree with the goals of the leftist ANTIFA and BLM? What are those goals? First and foremost they consist of the ending of our capitalist economic system and Constitutional Republican form of government. Are you on board with those things?

I am not going to play that game. I have noticed in the past that when I answer such a question that others are not honest enough to answer the question I ask them.

Where do you stand, in support or opposition of the Alt-Right, the Nazis, the KKK, the Whities?

I abhor them and all that they stand for. They have a leftist, non-constitutional political ideology and they bring nothing to the table except hate and division. Now, tell me, where do YOU stand on the political ideals that those groups like ANTIFA stand for?

They are rightest, not leftist ... that is why they are called part of the Art-Right.

I stand for freedom and equal treatment of US citizens. I do not stand for violence. I am for prosecuting offenders such as the murder of the young woman, of the White Supremacist who beat the man in the parking garage.

I see no way to defend them. I see no way to defend the KKK with its 151 year history of murder, lynchings, intimidation's.

When you use the term 'political ideals' what do you mean. Without knowing your meaning there is no way to reply. Give me a list of the ideals you are speaking of. Thanks.

One Nazi goal is socialized medicine. Do you agree with them on that goal?

Yes. Hitler also made the trains run on time, which was a Good Thing and, like me, loved dogs. Does any of that make me a Nazi?

I suppose you haven't told us what makes you a Nazi.

Nothing does. Naziism is anathema to me. I would be in at least two positions on the Nazi-KKK hit list for the gas chambers/ hanging/ however they choose to despatch their victims these days (see Niemoller for the typical list).
