Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion, and in all my years on the BB that has all you have been able to come up with is opinion and speculation. And that's fine if you want to build your theology on that, but that doesn't mean that everyone else has to!
Well I always thought it was okay to bring it, so long as you don't question what the pastor or SS teacher says. If you do that then ya betta look out.
Was it for bringing your Bible...or the garbage you were trying to teach out of it?
I find it VERY hard to believe a true Bible believing church would kick ANYONE out for bringing a Bible unless it was a KJVO church and you brought anything but.
I'm sorry. Let me add one. If you divide salvation semantically by calling one justification and one sanctification you are welcome. If you correctly and Biblically divide the terms by context, realizing that both words are used at times to describe either facet of salvation, you will be banned.
Funny, we give Scripture and back it with Scripture and we are preaching opinion and you can't produce one verse to back what you claim and yours is not opinion?
JJump, you don't even know what opinion is if you think we are giving opinion and you are not.
Once again...
2Co 5:9
Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
2Co 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2Co 5:11
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
You, SFIC, are disingenuous.
The we persuade men does not address the "lost" any more than we must all includes the "lost".
Please, think man, think!
Even DHK just said a few posts back that there are two sanctifications, etc.
Not everything is always so cut and dried.
I showed in Scriptures where we are justified once and for all, yet we are commanded to cause ourselves to be justified.
Either you have to accept contradictions in Scripture, you have to stick your fingers in your ears and close your eyes, or you can accept that it's talking about two different things.
There is still only one salvation.
Sanctification is NOT salvation, it is an already righteous person being conformed to the image of Christ.
Still ONE salvation.
Yeah here's what you do with Scripture. The guy says Lord, Lord and gives this list of works that he has done and Jesus never once calls him a liar, but he must be lying because if he's not lying then my theology doesn't work.
And I know he was a servant, but that doesn't mean he was saved, even though Scripture never says that. And he can't be saved even though he's a servant because if he is then my whole theology crumbles.
Yeah the Lord, Lord criers were liars and this servant was an unsaved person. Yeah that's it.
Oh yeah how about the virgins that you say had no oil, when Scripture doesn't say that. And it's awfully funny that these virgins were looking for the bridegroom. I don't know any unsaved folks that are interested in when the Bridegroom is returning for His bride.
So yeah you have posted Scripture, but none of it backs up your claims. At least it hasn't to me. But you keep on believing it if you want to. I have to stick with what Scripture "actually says" not what is speculated about it.
Actually, I wasn't aware of it when I headed down to it.
I was traveling, saw the only Baptist church in that little town, and headed to it.
I have a friend of mine who was kicked out of a different church in PA for the same reason, but he had been told that before he went, but didn't believe it.
There are no contradictions in Scripture.
Until you come to believe the truth that there are no contriadictions, you will not see nor will you receive the truth of Scripture.
Yes from a human standpoint we are both giving our opinions about Scripture, but the facts of the matter is that one of us isn't being led by the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit isn't going to teach two "different" Truths.
With that being said your opinion of Scripture does not line up with what Scripture has to "say" so therefore I still believe my opinion to be Truth.
