Medicare cuts to doctors 30.9%

Stack, MD. “Nothing is more critical to the Medicare program than patients’ ability to access the physicians they want and need to see.”

“The idea that Obamacare will save Medicare would be laughable if the health care of millions of seniors was not at stake,” said Rep. John Fleming, MD (R, La.). “The president used Medicare savings to foot some of the bill for Obamacare. The administration may spin today’s report to justify its do-nothing approach to Medicare reform, but the fact is Medicare remains on an unsustainable path, and Democrats need to stop the political games and join House Republicans in working to save Medicare.”

Some people I know on Medicare have already noticed difficulty in getting appointments with some doctors and/or lack of communication, longer wait times......just started happening lately.....

Curious if you know of similar.....

A lot of doctors in my area are not taking medi-care patients at all.

No Problem Getting Appointments....just

....paying the high cost of co-pays being raised as I speak :laugh:

As I said before, my pharmacy co-pay is now at $45.00...it was five dollars just 14 months ago!

Also, my wife [on same HMO], who is not on Medicare now, pays $15.00 per visit [up from five dollars] and I pay ten dollars [up from five dollars].

My HMO tells me the raises are to get the plan in line with the National Health Care Referendum.

That's a lot of cash when you live on a fixed [well broken] income :laugh:

We also have to pay $50.00 for each ER visit. It was free just 12 months earlier.

the monthly premium has increased by 17% the last fiscal year. Of course, it is a retirement paid benefit, but if the premiums continue to raise, the rumor is, retirees will have to start picking up the monthly increases.

Furthermore, my retirement plan is going to use the Obamacare package, and switch many retirees over to the plan in 2014. SO, THE STORY ABOUT KEEPING THE PLAN IF YOU LIKE IT, IS NOTHING BUT A STORY. :smilewinkgrin:

They need to dump Medicare altogether. It is nothing but a bureaucratic nightmare that is used to tender votes at the tax payer expense.
