Memorial Day

I first posted this on Veterans' Day last year:
In my 20 years in, I flew combat helicopters. I was in Vietnam, flew the fence line between East and West Germany during the coldest part of the Cold War, I went to Grenada, the Suez Canal when Iran threatened to close it, Panama, and Desert Storm, after which I retired. During those years, I came to know a lot of wonderful people. Today, I don't want you to remember my service. I want you to remember those who served honorably, valiantly, and ultimately paid the full price for their service.

Brian
Alphonse
Carlos
Jerry
Bob (affectionately known in the unit as "Tire Iron")
Randy
Charles
Roger
Cheryl

God rest them. Hoo-Ah!
Although Memorial Day is a day to remember all of our loved ones who have passed on, I'd appreciate a brief remembrance of these great people if you happen to think about them today. God bless.

This # is absolutely correct!

Today is to remember those who gave their lives in combat.

When will news reporter get their facts straight

A week or so ago, we honored Active Duty (including NGR) on Armed Forces Day.

Veterans are honored on 11 NOV.

May you have a Sacred Memorial Day today.
