"Shen dan kuai le" means "Merry Christmas" in the Chinese language. My wife is Chinese, so there is a lot of speaking in tongues in my home. :tongue3:

Mandarin always sounded more fun. More vowel sounds.
You just sent my one daughter on a mission to find out how to pronounce that, but she's telling me something it's something different.
So now I have to ask which dialect your wife speaks before my daughter spends the next three hours going crazy trying to figure it out and how to say it in Cantonese if that isn't it. She's too funny...and trust me, she will NOT stop so PLEASE help me! -

Wow, cool beans! Their father was born and raised in Guangzhou. Their family is still there...the girls get clothes from there since the cost is so much lower than here.
And will let the girls know...I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case.
Thanks, and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours! -
Nadolig LLawen ac blwyddyn newydd da...Languages can be very interesting. My Brother-in-law's sister spent 12 years learning Chinese for missions. She ended up going to another country and ad to learn Chinese all over again........
The above is Welsh for Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year.

Well for all the folks in the great ether of the Baptist Board....
Happy and Holy Christmas from one of the countries to celebrate it first.....New Zealand.
Had an exhausting and joyous day....started at 2200hrs on the Vigil of Christmas with Matins, followed with Carols and the rosary, followed by a Missa Cantata at midnight with bells making a joyful racket in a church crammed to overfull amidst flowers and the warm glow of candles amongst the white and gold vestments.
A few hours sleep after....the heady round of Christmas eating from boards full to groaning point, excited little ones, perched on knees, sticky fingers on clothes, new toys thrust into ones face with elaborate explanations on operating details, weary adults slumped in lounge chairs with a glass beside and surepititious loosening of belts...
Joyful international calls to loved ones across the Ditch in hot and humid Brisbane....thanking the giver of the gift of a new ironing board cover ( I am middle-aged!!!!),
...and the gratitude of an ordinary little person for the greatest gift of all,
to my dear Lord who gifted me and humanity with His great gift Love.
