Because random people walk over the border everyday.

Because drug smugglers cross the border with illegal drugs everyday.

Because marijua is grown illegally on Federal lands.

The U.S. loses sovereignty when it gives permission to someone to enter the U.S. because it no longer is in complete control.

And the U.S. does not loose sovereignty when someone enters the U.S. without permission because the U.S. is... what? Still in complete control?

Your understanding of the meaning of sovereignty is flawed.

Here is a better definition: "Sovereignty is the power of a state to do everything necessary to govern itself, such as making, executing, and applying laws; imposing and collecting taxes; making war and peace; and forming treaties or engaging in commerce with foreign nations."

By granting Mexico the permission to fly in U.S. airspace the U.S. is exercising it's sovereignty - not giving it up.

 

Excellent substantive post. Mexico is submitting to US sovereignty, nothing more or less than that - I somehow doubt it will accomplish much.

 

America has set parameters for Mexico, too. Mexico is not left alone to do whatever they decide. You think they can just fly in "guns-a-blazing" into America? You think they can fly anywhere in the states they want? You think that they have any power to arrest or apprehend anyone here? You think they can fly in at all without alerting the proper authorities?

We are in control. Let's see what happens the first time they try to open fire on an American.
