You could be right, Texas. But this one incident tends to make me think it is different and worse there. Did you read recently, where in this one Mexican town, the undercover feds were staking out a school. They were staking it out because of the kidnappings. Well some locals saw them, and assumed they were kidnappers. They grabbed them and beat the crap out of them. Killed one. The other was narrowly saved by the local police from the mob.
The other thing which I think is telling. In Juarez, where many women have disappered the suspicion is the the police are involved or at least covering up. I think it is well established that the law enforcement in Mexico is riddled with corruption. One boarder patrol agent told me he rutinely sees Mexican Feds off loading drugs at the boarder.
But I agree we have gotten used to alot here that we should not be tolerant of.
