But yet it did show a downward trend in Huck's approval rating Our state has had Republican Governors before that have recieved the confidence of its people. One most notable Republican would have been Winthrop Rockefeller so when it comes to political parties of governors in Arkansas it matters not one little bit if they are in a mostly Democratic state or not but whether they have proven themselves worthy of the trust of the Arkansas people.
Mike Huckabee is 2nd nationally in latest Rasmussen Reports

My point is, he is not the governor some of you here are trying to portray him. And majority of Arkansans don't believe some of you here believe as what one poster in Huckabee's web page said and I quote:
Kolton, Mark

I have lived in Arkansas most of my life. Mike was the best govener we had. I believe that he did a lot for our state. I believe that he will make a great president and will let God lead him. I am telling everybody I know to support him.

Has Huckabee even raised $4 million yet in total? Other than hearing that so far this year his fundraising has been abysmal I have not kept up with his amounts. Perhaps you can supply the data. -
He has no enough money compared to other candidates. But by looking at the trend in the polls, major endorsements and publicity I will assume there is something to his message that resonates not only with the conservatives but to the rest of the american people. -

Please don't interpret it out of context. Here is his whole remark: -

Yes, indeed. I love presidential campaigns. I have been fascinated by them since Goldwater's campaign in 1964 when I was just short of eight years old. :)

Finally, something we agree on!!!
What is really fun is having a party and inviting people from both camps to watch the returns!!!! We did that in 96... What a hoot....
Surprisingly, there were no fist fights... but it was fun...
And in the end, we were all friends again.. waiting for 4 more yrs!!!
God knows who will win... I am going for Huckabee.. .mainly because people I consider liberal cannot stand him...
You know you have chosen the right man when liberals hate him...
Can you imagine a Gay voting for Huckabee.... or a pro choice person... or a tree hugger... or pacifist? All symptoms of liberalism... nope, me neither... Can you imagine Huckabee winning in San Fransisco? or Boston? Nope...
So, that means there must be something right with him when all the sinners hate him.... -

This is getting interesting. Huckabee is getting close to Rudy nationally.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Giuliani with 20% support nationwide while Huckabee attracts 17%. Fred Thompson is at 14%, John McCain at 13% and Mitt Romney at 11%. Ron Paul attracts 7% of Likely Republican Primary voters nationwide and no other Republican candidate reaches 2%

Without a campaign war chest Huckabee will be unable to be competitive on Super Duper Tuesday. Besides, I don't see Republicans in places such as New York and California(where there are so many delegates) going for someone like Huckabee.
Pat Robertson did great in Iowa in 1988 but that was all he could do. The Republicans in Iowa have more of the religious right-wing types than most other states do.
Huckabee might do well in Iowa and some southern states but he will have a difficult time in the Northeast, Industrial Belt, Mountain West, and the Pacific Coast. -
In california, Mike Huckabee right now is 14% in the latest poll. He is 3rd (tied with Thomson and Romney). So the trend for all states is almost the same. He is either 1st, 2nd or third. And the surge continues..

I'm now leaning to Huckabee, and it's mostly because of his statement of faith concerning the Genesis account, even though he was a bit wishy washy. Apparently I'm not alone.
As Ken said, he won't have much chance out here on the left coast, but at least I can support him with a couple bucks, if he stays in there. I've read several blogs against him but I can't substantiate most of it.
