Minneapolistan: Somali teens attack LRT riders with hammers

"A mob of 8-10 Somali teenagers attacked LRT riders at a station stop near the University of Minnesota and the Little Mogadishu neighborhood in Minneapolis last Friday night.

As of this posting, no local media outlet has reported anything on the attack which occurred five days ago.

Red State has the best summary of the incident:

Alpha News MN has reported that a group of 8-10 Somali teens attacked travelers at the East Bank Light Rail Station in Minneapolis on Friday night. There were several injuries reported. (Here is the Minneapolis Police Department dispatch audio.)

This station stop is located next to the University of Minnesota campus.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this incident is how little media attention it received. The second most remarkable thing is that none of the article titles about this story indicate that these teenagers were Somali.

This is a developing story.

Or not…"

Juveniles cited for wielding metal pipes, threatening passengers at Green Line light-rail platform
As many as seven juveniles were involved in the incident Friday night.
By Tim Harlow Star Tribune

MAY 21, 2019 — 9:40PM

Two juvenile males were cited after they allegedly brandished weapons and threatened passengers at a light-rail platform near the University of Minnesota Campus on Friday night.

A University spokeswoman on Monday afternoon confirmed two suspects carrying metal pipes on the platform were arrested.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this incident is how little media attention it received. The second most remarkable thing is that none of the article titles about this story indicate that these teenagers were Somali.

Why is that relevant?

They are juveniles. One was said to be 14 or 15 years old, the other was 12 or 13.

Minnesota nice strikes again.

Wish that I could say that Indianapolis is any safer but it's not. The murder rate per capita in Indianapolis is as high as in Chicago. The Indianapolis media don't cover crime stories either when it is black on white. I think that the Indianapolis Police Dept. is always short of officers. Another bad Hoosier city is South Bend and, of course, Gary. Bloomington is not a good place to raise children. Indianapolis public schools must be some of the worst in the United States.

Apparently it's not to you. I'd like to know if it's Muslim violence, black on white violence, gang violence, ingrates hating Americans, political violence, i.e., Ilhan Omar inspired, etc. Personally I've no problem calling Cretans for what they are [Titus 1:12-13]

Oooooooohhhh, well, never mind then. That makes it all okay.

The problem with the "reporting" in the article you linked to was that it was biased and inaccurate, and opinionated. There was not a "mob" of Somali teenagers. How many were there? Eight or Ten? Didn't the reporter bother to find out?

They didn't have hammers. Two of them had pipes. They didn't attack anyone. They threatened people. The article relies heavily on the police dispatcher's description which relies on a panicked eyewitness who called in the incident. Maybe wait to get all the actual facts instead of reporting what someone who called 911 said about it.

As far as crime in the big city goes, a couple of teenagers threatening people at a light rail station barely rises to the level of being newsworthy. It's no wonder it wasn't reported until days later.

No, since they're juveniles it means we won't even get to know their names, so their race is irrelevant.

Is Minneapolis doing anything to hire more black police officers?

Was the Covington High School student involved under 18?
I believe he was 17 at the time and regardless many of the others that were under that age were initially included on accusations of attack were pictured and their school name broadcasted all over the news. ( ..that is the point of the Op, how this actual attack was neglected and oh, hmm, how important to protect the identity of these teens that actually were threatening...to which I made a simple comparison.)
Was he arrested?
They tried to have him disciplined even for something he did not do. Again, that is beside the point , the point is you could not watch a media report without this subject being broadcast wherein in this one wherein there were actual threats and yet nowhere to be seen because of the parties involved. What do you think the differences are based on concerning the media not reporting this event on equal terms if not based on that it doesn't fit their narrative? Do you truly believe the races involved is "irrelevant" to the media?
How did his name get out into the public?
The biased media of course.

Well, I don't know if Minneapolis is trying to hire more black police officers or not.

Indianapolis is actually worse. Downtown is not safe at night or on the weekends because of black on white violence. They also have a Muslim congressman Andre Carson whom Obama put on the intelligence committee. Indianapolis has ISNA, the # 1 Muslim Brotherhood terrorist front in the USA. We haven't had college students murdered in their dorms yet or the St. Patricks Day parade attacked or little children thrown from upper levels of a mall but we do have mob violence at malls.

In the Covington case, many Democrats threatened to murder the students and their parents.

Minnesota has a "shall issue" weapons permit system, so I would suggest that Minnesotans, especially those who ride mass transit and live in Minneapolis area avail themselves of that right.

I hope you are not suggesting that somebody should shoot a teenager shaking a length of pipe in their face.

No of course not. The religion of peace would not commit jihad against Minnesota infidels would they?
When they are assaulted by the steel pipes, maybe they should recite your number system from your signature instead of defending themselves.

The word you are looking for is "accost" not assault.

I'm glad to hear that my numbering system is so popular.

I am suggesting that a person who is being accosted in such a manner has a right to defend themselves. They pull a piece of pipe on me, I pull my weapon on them. If they advance and attack me with said piece of pipe I shoot in order to defend myself. These are not just little kids, but teens in adult sized bodies knowing full well what they are doing.

Maybe it is the fault of white cops. Are they trying to hire more black cops? Minnesotans are nice.

One of the last ethnic cops (I believe he was a Somali) they had shot a woman dead for no reason. She had called 911 to report some kind of assault taking place on someone else and the cop shot her.

Thank you!

Yeah. It is easier to change Minneapolis to Mogadishu than to change Mogadishu to Minneapolis.

There were 8 or 10 blacks bothering whites. Two had pipes. It is racial because the Minneapolis police are recruiting black cops so the police are responding along racial lines, which is why my question about police racial quotas was unanswered. But I think that this case is normal Ramadan attacking because they are in a bad mood because they cannot eat or drink anything during the daytime but only at night. They believe in kismet. Indianapolis is also a dangerous city.
