I've been to the Arch--it was kinda neat-- in a claustrophobic way to go up in the top and see St. Louis.

Missouri has a lot of good places...Kansas City...St Louis...Branson...the Ozarks...the Boothill.
Lots of good fishing and hunting here. -
Carthage is nice at the Precious Moments Chapel. Will be going to Branson the last week in March. That seems to be our regular vacation spot. Kansas City is good if you have a relative who lives there and can show you around.

Joseph, my family and I will be in Branson Mar 31-Apr 2 for a youth event weekend they are hosting. We are taking the youth from our church.

Hey there,
We are going the March 24-27...I guess it is actually the weekend before the last week of March. Wish we could meet up. I hope you guys have a good time.

In SE Missouri we are proud of our Stars & Stripes Museum. This museum is in my hometown and is one of the greatest collections of historical artifacts from all wars and all branches of the military!
The Stars & Stripes paper originated in Bloomfield, MO during the Civil War!

my wife and I are thinking of relocating to springfield area. If anyone can give us any info on the area please do. we are thinking between spingfield and stockton. thank you

I love to eat at Lamberts, it's between Branson and Springfield. But watch out for those flying rolls  Missouri is the only state I have seen a Lamberts at, they have another one up past Dexter.
-
People in Missouri throw their rolls? Or are they self-propelled?
-
They have one in Foley, Alabama as well!
-
Lamberts rocks BIG TIME!
Bitsey,
They throw them to you. You catch them and then eat them...and they are really good.

You know I have lived in Missouri for 6 years and I have yet to eat at Lamberts. But I have heard good things.
-
What is wrong with you, man? Get out there tonight and enjoy some good food. :D

The problem would be that I would have to report into the Diet Thread and share that I ate my weight in throwed rolls and that would not be a good thing
-
We used to eat there alot when we were doing resort ministry in Gulf Shores, AL. Every group that came to work with us wanted to go there, it seemed. The food was ok (mostly canned and frozen stuff - and at the BEACH where seafood restaurants abound! ) but the atmosphere and the rolls were awesome! You cant eat there and be on a diet. Just cant do it.

I believe Sikeston, MO had the 1st restaurant.

Sikeston is the town I was trying to think of in my first post. I have ate there and at Springfield and thought the food and service was great!
