MOODY MAGAZINE CEASES PUBLICATION
(CHICAGO), Moody Bible Institute (MBI) announced today that its legacy ministry MOODY magazine will cease print publication within the next six months. A crowded magazine field, the resultant decline in subscriptions and the ongoing need for significant subsidization were key factors in this difficult decision.
MOODY magazine has been a signature publication for MBI for decades, and there is no doubt that it will be greatly missed by readers. Moody’s daily devotional guide, Today In the Word, will now become MBI’s primary periodical to its constituency. It is presently used by more than 200,000 readers. Implications of this decision for MOODY magazine subscribers will be communicated to them in the near future.

That is a real pity. Hopefully they will come up with some good ideas to replace it.
I have noticed that there does seem to be alot of magazines these days though. -
Yes, a ministry like Moody can carry a money-cpster so long before the losses have to be cut. I, though, will really miss the magazine. It is my favorite magazine.

So Mark, can you reccomend to me some other magazines to read?
At present I enjoy reading "The War Cry" publication of the Salvation Army. Got any suggestions for some good ones to subscribe to? -
I enjoy Christianity Today, though it can have an "orthodox" bent. I really like "The Tie" which is free from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, USA. www.sbts.edu .
