Thought that this was interesting since Mosul is roughly the Nineveh of the Old Testament and Nahum 2:6.

Interesting read. LOTS going on behind the daily "war headlines" we read. Since ISIS wants a return to the stone age (or era of the Prophet with modernity of any sort) I would think exploiting a weak dam would fit into their playbook quite well.

We shall see.
