Being a conservative, there have been many liberals that I didnt care for. But I would never stoop so low as to do something like this. I am beginning to think that Michael Savage may be right. Liberalism may be a mental disorder.
Lyndon Johnson was Commander in Chief when he escalated the War in Viet Nam and was very unpopular for it but never was anything done like this. LIBERALS! Hang your heads in shame. I can only hope that history will later vindicate George Bush.

I think this idea stinks.

Good point.

It stinks just like the George W. Bush presidency does to a very large extent.

This is akin to Bob Barr's obsession with Bill Clinton - get a hobby for crying out loud. Good to know that politicians in SF have solved all their issues and have all this free time to worry about naming a sewage treatment facility.

Even the worst President history does not deserve this

Eventhough he may go down in history as the worst 8 year President, I hope the people of San Francisco will change their minds. Bush is just trying to survive now and his legacy will probably leave and lead him in a life of seclusion ,lonely on his ranch.

I think even a President Obama would not allow war crimes to come against Bush and he would try to reconcile the country instead of going after the abuse of democracy done by the Bush administration, now Karl Rove may be a different story for he is still trying to push negative buttons.

If Bush does bomb Iran I think he should be impeached and I may name my bathroom camode "Bush"

It might be appropriate. He's been taking cr@p from people now for the past eight years. He's taken the tough stands that few politicians would have the courage to take.

And for what it's worth, there's nothing shameful about a wastewater treament plant. (It's clear they haven't thought this one all the way through!) If San Francisco didn't have them, they would be wallowing around in their own excrement.

I am surprised that anyone is shocked by this.

Not surprising at all. This is the same S.F. that rejected docking of the USS Iowa; denied the Marines permission to film a recruiting commercial on their streets; whose city council drafted a letter to the Marines calling them "unwelcome intruders" and gave Code Pink reserved parking privileges in front of the recruiting office; declared itself a ‘Sanctuary City’ for illegal immigrants, complete with brochures and public service announcements.

They evidently asked themselves, "Can we make further pointless and insulting political/cultural statements?" and answered themselves, "Yes We Can!!"

Hence my statement:

I am surprised that anyone is shocked by this.

There's enough sewage on this board on both sides of the aisle concerning the President of the United States both present and future.

My community is one of the fastest growing in the country. Unquestionably there will be new sewage plants in the future. I am already contacting city council members about naming every new facility after that [snipped], B. Hussein Obama. I think I will also recommend names like [inflammatory personal comments deleted] as new names for a plant that makes bathroom fixtures,as names of their new models.
