It would be helpful if you arranged them in order of political leanings rather than alphabetical. I'm not sure where each one falls.

The political line up in order from left to right would be:
Liberal more to the left
Liberal
Moderate to the left
Libertarian
Moderate to the right
Conservative
Conservative - more to the right

where would you put it?

It doesn't really fit well on an American right-to-left spectrum because it generally
has very liberal social philosophy and very conservative economic philosophy.
There really aren't many "moderate" positions.
But, since libertarianism advocates a very limited government, I'd place it on the far right of the spectrum.

Thus the reason for putting it in the middle.
I agree with your statement about the
libertarian
philosophy.
It can be hard too place, thus my decision to put it in the middle.
In fact, even though I am a member of the
Conservative Party (which has New York Party line ballot status)
I do have some minor libertarian
leanings.

Economically--libertarian
Socially--conservative
And several "exceptions" to the party line.
I'm a mutt.

That is a politicaly incorrect term.
At least that is what I was told at a race relations class when I said I was a "Mutt-Americian"

You're forgetting one of the rules of "political correctness:"
If you are said group, you can call yourselves anything you please. It's just that no one else can use those terms!
