    As a child, we had a local TV show which featured Popeye cartoons.
    The host of that show was named Salty Sam
    I suppose in part because Popeye was a sailor and thus salty.

    In addition Syracuse, NY is know as the Salt City because the city
    was built on the Salt industry from Onondaga Lake

    Then there is the verse of Mat 5:13 - Ye are the Salt of the Earth

    So Salty is just a great and logical name

    My user name should be a no-brainer, very few on here don't know who William Tyndale is... Translated almost 80% of the Bible... Which became the Geneva Bible and later the KJV and if you didn't know by now I'm strictly KJV... Read it, study it and quote only from it... Done the same thing since I first joined... The 1946 is the year I was born... This old timer has been here, quite a spell... You can call me... Brother Glen:)

    In a calculator remember 710.77345 turn it upside down to read ShELL'OIL. 37818 upsided down can be read as BIBLE.

    ...the people I relate to and the way I grew up, close to the land, foraging, hunting, fishing, trapping, gardening, canning, most anything that lends towards being self-reliant, loving the outdoors.
