Mystery as spiral blue light display hovers above Norway

Personally, I don't think there is much of a mystery here. In the video you can clearly see the rocket spinning out of control and exploding. Sadly I suspect the UFO nuts, and front page prophecy folks, will try to exploit this event. This was not an alien spacecraft nor was it the return of Christ. It was a Russian rocket that misfired and exploded. That said, it was a spectacular light show.

Everyone knows that is the the recent time travel techology used by the illuminati.

When I was a boy I lived on the Atlantic coast of Florida north of Cape Kennedy. One night they did some sort of rocket test and it left what I can only describe as a big purple grape in the sky. It looked like a hollow purple globe, very pretty. No one knew what it was until it was reported on the news the next day.
I would have loved to have seen this, very impressive. -
You people don't get it.
The light was blue.
It's Christmastime.
Thus, this was a K-Mart promotion. -

Foxnews was saying that it was from a Russian Nuclear sub testing an ICBM...over Norway...while many heads of state were gathered there...
Okay, seriously, there has got to be more to this. Why in the world is Russia testing ICBMs? -
It's a sign that global warming is intensifying.
-
maybe it's Obama's halo.
He was over there, you know. -
No doubt Russia sees Obama as their opportunity to once again be a dominant player in the world. -
Amazing, a story about mystery lights over Norway has been turned into an anti-Obama thread in a little over a page. -
I doubt since Putin's been pootin' along, that they've ever not tested ICBM's.
But...
1. This was a new type, and thus putting more tests into it was S.O.P. I don't think Russia has developed many new missles in recent years...so these tests (there were many).
2. I do think that it was a "message" to the US...reminding us that as we deal with islamo-terrorists, that there are other powers in play
Vladimir Putin worries me. A lot.
But, I am puzzled by a couple of things:
1. Why did they choose where they did to pitch the missle? There are other avenues, ar more less travelled.
2. Why now? You've got two major events--the treehugger symposium in Copenhaagen-dasz, and the Obama Award for Good Intentions (Nobel prize) in Oslo. Lots of muckety-mucks up there...and "war games" would be intensely unpopular. The timing just suprised me.
Unlike PiJ, I'm not really surprised that they are testing ICBM's (I doubt they really ever stopped). But I was suprised at the timing, and the likelihood of a PR mess for the Russians. -
You just know that the Danes & Norwegians don't like it a bit, with their huge events going on and all... -
Moderators feel free to snip. -
Have you another answer for the question of why then and there? -
-
If it had not failed no one would have noticed - hardly a great way to intimidate world leaders.
Does anyone think that the US is not still carrying on secret ICBM testing? -
It ain't healthy, dude.
You're going to end up in a tower somewhere with a scope. -
I said Obama.
