    oh, their strategy was to put boots on the ground plus expensive toys for no particular and burn the cash? I don’t think so. If the military had better capability they would have burnt a fraction of that amount for the same result or the same amount for more results.

    Afghanistan was total failure

    Convince what? I simply stated a fact. You don't have to believe it.

    I know it may sound offensive to some but it is wise to temper our feelings with reality. I made this post when most were spoiling for war with Iran under the misguided notion that US would simply bomb the petulant Iranians to Stone Age.

    No one ever said they were "spoiling for war with Iran". Whatever that means. I am wondering when you are going to start actually temper your feelings before you post.

    President Trump threatened war with Iran and many in his corner were firmly behind this irrational idea.

    Wisdom or common sense prevailed and they struck a deal to bomb tents on two bases to save face.

    Yet they have basically no air defenses, and the US has stealth bombers with enough canned sunshine to turn the country into a parking lot. So, if raw victory was the concern, it was within the military's power to at any time unleash it.

    You are framing everything in a pre WWII perspective. That's your first mistake.
