Have you ever tried locating a song without knowing the title or artist? Back in the day, you could go to a record store. The clerks could find just about anything. But with megastores, those days are gone.
So check out Musipedia – it’s a virtual music expert. If you know part of the melody, you can find your song. There are different ways to input the melody. For example, you can use a keyboard. You can even whistle it into your computer’s microphone. Wow!
It uses a deceptively simple “contour code” to get results. Browse through the results and listen to samples to find your song. Then, links will help you purchase the song or sheet music, should you choose to do so.
If you have an encyclopedic knowledge of music, help the rest of us. You can post melodies to increase the site’s scope.
