A U.S. Navy veteran's mother was twice denied a visa to attend her son's funeral in Arkansas around Christmas, CBS affiliate WREG-TV reports. The U.S. State Department won't say why the visa requests were denied.
She lived in Vietnam and I support the Trump administration considered her dangerous.

She lives in Vietnam. How is she dangerous? Now, there is a distinct possibility that she would seek to disappear into the Vietnamese-American community and overstay her visa. But, that doesn't put her in the same category as some bomb thrower or spy.

You wrote that you support the State Department's decison. You didn't question it.

Just curious - how is it that the son is in the States - but mom is still in Nam?

She's divorced from the vet's father. So, I assume after the divorce she moved back.

I'm sure there not doing it to be mean. In reality there is some legit reason I'm sure. People get temp visa's into the US all the time. The real question one should ask is why she is not using her nam passport to just travel to the US on vacation? She can legally enter the US for vacation without a visa. People do it everyday, that means she has some sort of travel restrictions in the US ..as a result of a crime more than likely. .
