Even if someone knows for a lock cinch certainty that President Obama is not eligible to be president do you think that he would be removed from office?
Does anyone want to see the political and social turmoil that would ensue if President Obama was removed from office?
All of the time and money that some of President Obama's foes are spending on this birth certificate issue would be far better expended defeating increased government involvement in health care and in defeating climate change legislation. -
Although I didn't vote for Obama and argue tirelessly that what he's doing is wrong for the US, I (personally) believe that this minor fact about 'long-form' v. 'short-form' means absolutely nothing. He was born to a citizen of the US who was 18, so he's considered a natural citizen. If the courts determine that she was 'too-young' to pass on those rights to BHO, then it's a different matter, wrong, but a different matter.
I think that he originally kept the records hidden and continues to do so more as a red-herring than anything else... $1M is CHEAP for all the press this is getting and in the end these people will get their way and the document will be revealed only to discover that it DOES show he's a naturalized citizen. Wow... think of the egg on our faces then! Yikes.
The other option is that he may have been born outside the country... but do you really think that his birth certificate will SHOW that after all this time? If he KNOWS he's not a natural born citizen then that proves he's a liar and he would make SURE that he had done something to cover his tracks. Specifically by having the document replaced. Now don't get me wrong... I'm not saying this is what happened by any means, but that if he really were NOT a citizen, that he surely would have had it covered up by now.
In the end, it's just going to be a black eye for the conservatives, so why not just leave it be? Mark my words... this million bucks BHO is investing in legal fees will pay dividends for him down the road in one way or another. Maybe not for him directly, but for the liberal agenda. Even now they're using the whole thing as a story to point to and say 'See! See how paranoid these right-wingers are!?' When the 'truth' (and I use that word very loosely) comes out, they'll be pointing and shouting even more.
Nope... I'm not hopping on this bandwagon. It's really a moot point as far as I'm concerned. What are Republicans hoping for? That it will show he was born in Korea and that we'll kick him out of office?! Oi! Who'll be president then!? Gah! Gasp! Joe 'stick-my-foot-in-my-mouth' Biden! -

"There's no such thing as a "long form". That's a standard certified copy of a birth certificate."
Humm I guess the state of Hawaii goofed when they issued one to me for my daughter that lists parents, hostital, doctor etc. Guess I'll just burn that phoney thing.
Me thinks you is waay wrong on that one. -

It's a simple matter, unless one wants to spend a million dollars to keep something secret. -
-
On a real birth certificate a physician will attest to the birth.
My own copy of my original is not only signed by the doctor, it is handwritten. (a sign of advanced age)
In Hawaii, it was possible to get a birth certificate by any adult attesting to the birth. The original certificate will have that information.
There is also written and oral evidence that Obama was born in Kenya. Why should we ignore that and accept a document that proves nothing? -

They exist in state records they just don't issue them at this time.

No one else can.
A million dollars is a lot of money to most people, especially to keep from doing what he ought to do without being asked. -

I wonder how much he will spend to keep his records secret. It would be so easy to end the whole thing. While he stalls and pays lawyers , it just festers and grows. -

You don't spend a million dollars on something that has already been proven.

You guys should really stop. Your lack of intelligence on the topic just becomes more self evident with every post. Not to mention your reliance on fantasy.
If you guys wanna sail this ship, feel free. But yoru posts just start sounding more and more ridiculous with each passing post.
Meanwhile, I suggest opposing Obama on legitimate issues which warrant opposition. This certainly isn't one of them. -
