If the Democrats were honest and resolute in their quest to immediately stop the war, they would provide one simple solution, cut off the funds as the Constitution says. Instead, they play games like the following, vote a war tax on the American people. What do you think?

If the Republicans were honest and resolute in their quest to continue funding the war, then they would propose a tax to pay for it or insist on spending cuts elsewhere instead of borrowing the money from other folks, such as China, to finance it.

As of late, we have done nothing but talk about Republican dishonesty in the war. Whether or not we should have gone there is a mute point at this time. We are there, and honest or not, the way forward is to solve the problem, not worry about past mistakes. The Republican fault in all of this at the present is a lack of leadership in winning the war, and lingering there.
The Democrats promised they would stop the war when elected. They were given control of Congress. Instead of passing vote after vote they know they cannot override, why not simply fail to fund the war and solve the problem as is their goal. Why continue to play games they know have to chance of achieving their stated goal, such as this article? -

Ken,
Why do the Democrats continue to fund the war? -
Political spinelessness.

Spinelessness? no, it's that they would solely own our defeat. They can't politically afford to pull the plug. They desperately want to force/encourage GWB to pull out. But like it or not, they're going to inherit this war on terror if hillary wins, and they are apoplectic about it.
